My name is Hannah and I am the owner of Moxie Beauty Boutique. I have been doing hair here in the Seattle area since I went to beauty school at the old Greenwood Academy back in 2000. After school I found my home as a stylist at Wild Root in the Maple Leaf neighborhood where I did my advanced training with the owner, Donna Morton, and remained as a stylist and the education manager for 13 years. I had dreams of opening my own salon for many years before collecting the knowledge and courage to do it. I went to business school and to Aveda Owner forums with my boss in order to learn all I could. I then decided it was time for the first step, chair rental. I became an independent contractor and rented a chair from a wonderful friend and coworker in the Lake City area called the Eric Saranto Salon. I was there for 2 years learning how to market myself, grow my business, run my business, pay my taxes, and all the little details that come with being in charge of all the moving parts of small business ownership. I learned a lot and worked a ton. When I was ready two years later, I found my new home in a tiny space on Stone Way in Wallingford. In the two years I spent in that space, I made my little Moxie Beauty Boutique a cozy, inviting, and creative space for my clients and coworkers. We have continued to grow and are now in a beautiful new larger space on 45th. Over the years I have trained with Goldwell, Redken, Bumble and Bumble, TiGi, and Aveda to gather a well rounded knowledge of my craft to share with my clients and to collaborate with my coworkers. I love what I do and I am happy to be here to make you feel beautiful and confident in all that you do!
